Just finding one thing that feels fun or exciting and leading with that. It gives me energy for everything else, even the stuff I don’t love as much. I used to think this season was the problem. The I used to think this season was the problem. The not knowing. The constant pivoting. The trying something, watching it flop, and starting again. I was waiting for the day I’d finally have a clear plan. A strategy that actually worked. A version of my life where I wasn’t always figuring things out. But that day didn’t come — because the figuring out is the thing. Every failed launch taught me what I actually wanted. Every “wrong” decision showed me what felt right. The year I stepped away from Instagram gave me more clarity than 3 years of forcing content ever did. I’m not behind. I’m not stuck. I’m just in it. And honestly? The house we bought when the numbers barely worked. Pausing my business right as it was getting traction. Leaving a job that looked great from the outside. None of it made logical sense. All of it was right. I used to think I needed more data, better timing, or someone to co-sign my choices before I could trust them. What I actually needed was to stop outsourcing my judgment to optics. Your nervous system knows things your spreadsheet doesn’t. That feeling of something being expansive even when it looks irresponsible, that’s information worth listening to. A few years ago, I would have talked myself out of A few years ago, I would have talked myself out of this. There was always something more important. The kids needed me. Work was piling up. The house was a mess. So I stopped moving my body. The one thing that makes me feel like me. Movement is how I come back to myself. It grounds me, energizes me, gives me ideas I can’t access when I’m stuck in my head. But when I was deep in building a business, being a mom, and working full time — I had nothing left. I was pouring everything into surviving. And movement was the first thing I dropped. I didn’t realize that by “saving time,” I was cutting myself off from the very thing that fuels me.
